(26,695 posts)Few things looks as peaceful as a deeply sleeping cat.

(334 posts)Both were rescued as stray kittens, they survived against the odds before coming to me. I always loved that they learned to trust me so much that they would fall deeply asleep to the point of me being able to "sneak up" on them if I wanted to.

(20,679 posts)But one of my favorite things was watching them curled up, sleeping in a big furry pile. Such fun!

(5,558 posts)and 2 of them are rebellious and hate the others.
I have to keep one in his private quarters, he is a mean bully, and only sweet passive Uncle Chico is allowed in my bedroom/computer room.
I wish they were all like Uncle Chico, but I have resigned to the permanent opening/closing of doors instead.
I have never seen my cats curl up with each other.

(20,679 posts)The ones I was speaking of were like a little family. They were not litter mates but raised together from kittenhood, so they might as well have been. It was really nice. *wistful sigh*

(5,558 posts)he only liked my first kitty. The first kitty died 2 years ago and now the bully cat doesn't warm up to any other cat. I saved this now spoiler-bully cat after my neighbor ran over the poor cat on purpose, this was four years ago. Then they gave him up; I took him to the vet and she relinquished him.
Anyway, he can't play nice at all and I don't even try. My other cats showed up in succession as rural drive-by dumping during the lockdown. but this crime is common in this rural area. Sad. The cats squabble and stay distant from each other for the most part. It still may change, but I see more tolerance as the years are going by.
P.S. On edit, spoiler-bully loves dogs. I had a sweet dog who also passed and this bully cat loved that dog. The dog was terrified of cats though. It was funny to watch. When my sister's pittie came here, the bully cat loved that sweet dog!
