Related: About this forumI caught Madoc trying to steal some freshly baked blueberry muffins
I sat them on the table just long enough to clear a space on the kitchen counter. When I turned to get them, there he was, sniffing away. Maybe got in a lick. Who knows. They were still HOT from the oven.
Right now there's a Dutch Apple Pie in the oven. You can bet that I won't be setting it to cool anywhere that he can get to it. It's going out on the enclosed front porch until the oven cools enough for me to store it there. I should have done that with the muffins!!
He's lucky he's so handsome. And when I confronted him, he did give me a rare meow. An apology? Probably not.

(9,841 posts)Muffins, donuts, cake, Ricky HAD to have some. One time I made an angel food cake and he knocked it off the counter during the night. He was the only cat I ever had who liked sweets. A big beautiful tabby Maine Coon, I miss him.

(25,258 posts)His favorite was bran muffins, but one time I discovered that he had eaten through a loaf of bread down the center from one end to the other.
Another time he grabbed a meatball off of a plate while I was eating. He also snatched a slice of pizza out of the box while my friends and I were eating and chatting.
