Related: About this forumI had a reunion with Carys' siblings, yesterday
Unfortunately Moon disappeared before I could get a photo but her brother was MUCH more social. (A few more pics of the other fur babies, later.)
At first he was like 'Hmmm. You look familiar.'
And then it was 'Ah, yes. I remember this lap!'

(27,543 posts)We had a wonderful dinner and lots of conversations. It felt good to both be out of the house as a guest instead of in my house hosting, AND to eat someone else's cooking, for a change.
My friend's nephew (an adult), who lives with her, is autistic but he joined us for both dinner AND conversation. He did come with his aunt to my house for dinner, once, but it was obvious he just wasn't at all comfortable. It was so nice to see him relaxed and engaged.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
