She has a white spot on her chest.

She was at the shelter and really sick. I asked to see her and they brought her out from the back and she gave me a *bump*. I yelled, "I'll take her!" And I did just that!

Will send you my story!

She turned 9 years old on July 8, 2025.

I found my Felix as a kitten in a supermarket parking lot one night on my way home. I was determined to catch him, that was no place for a kitten, but he did not want to be caught - it took me, a guy who worked in the store and his wife who came to pick him up to finally catch him - there is no way I could have managed alone. And the next day I took him to my vet and he said that this kitten was just about 7 weeks old! And he really grew up to be one beautiful cat...

All I have to do is think of her and she comes into the room. No words, no nothing, just thoughts.

My mother used to talk about "healing cats". They mention this in Cayce's video here.

When my husband was dying, Andreas used to go in the room when he heard him screaming in his sleep during his horrific demented nightmares. He'd go to him and jump on him as to awaken him.

After he died, Andreas cried and moaned every night at 3:00 a.m. sharp. This went on for nine long months. Andreas finally quit this and joined the other two cats at night sleeping in bed with me.

Andreas seemed to have calmed down and then he got very sick and died of a neurological problem on Valentine's Day in 2023.

How very appropriate and Andreas was very attached to my late husband. He missed him so and it was my late husband that chose him at the local kill shelter where I live.

I miss you Mr. Andy!

I lost my Felix just before Christmas two years ago. He was only 8. We actually took him to a veterinary neurologist and he got much better, could eat on his own again - but then they think he had another stroke and they couldn't help him this time. I know, it's the worst.

But I have a friend whose daughter rescues cats and cat #3 (Nicky) was scaring cat #2 who is very small and took up residence on a shelf in the bathroom. So my friend asked me if I'd like Nicky, so I went there on Christmas to pick him up. It was a terrible start since her husband accidentally put cat #1 in my carrier and by that time all 3 of the cats were upset. And when I brought him home, of course he hid. But he was just in the room with me since I'm upstairs and he keeps checking. He really is the sweetest thing, extremely personable and craves attention.

And he looks so much like your beautiful cat Andreas! Gray tiger stripes just like Andreas has on his head and white under his chin. My friend knew I'd like him since he reminded of the first cat I ever knew - and loved. I used to spend time with my grandmother and Skippy was the high point, but I was very little and he didn't much like me, though he still has a special place in my heart. And now I have Nicky - who loves attention.

When my 16 year old Kishu inu, Amos, had a stroke he could no longer walk on roads. All road traffic frightened him. Though our "garden" is small it is big, for Japan.

So, every evening, Amos and I would walk several times around and through the garden. A small, white cat watched us. She (as we later discovered) would crouch under bushes, behind trees, and in flower beds. She would race to the next corner and wait for us to arrive.

Amos loved all other animals, especially cats. He'd grown up with two house cats. He was excitedly happy when she ran around, he looked expectantly for her.

Gradually she chose to stay at our house. Though she was never fully tame she was friendly, petable, and happy to see us, especially Amos. We fed her, kept her water dish full, and lined a house on our patio with blankets in the winter.

Often, when we opened the patio door she would take a few steps into the house, sit down and look interested, Then she would leave. There was a level of feralness in her, we named her Madam Mao, that wouldn't allow her to be happy inside.

We tried enticing her, we tried familiarizing her, we tried comforting her and, a little, she accepted it. But then she wanted to get out again.

Within a year Amos died and Madam Mao (with no gang of four) had to watch as I walked Amos' three children down the drive, on the road and onward (we'd walk for 45 or so minutes), she was waiting for us when we came back.

She sadly left us a few years later, quite possibly poisoned by a stupid neighbor. He pumped weed killer on the smallest patch of weeds or grass constantly and she had a habit of chewing on grass, as many cats do.

Goodnight, Madam Mao.

7. Goodnight Mr. Andy

My late husband would put his hands on his hips and sort of swing back and forth and look and Andreas. He'd say "Mr. Andy ... Humph Humph Humph" and then he's stop with swinging his hips.

Those two were so attached. It was a shame to lose him so young. I think he picked up a lot of that sickness energy from my late husband who told me that Andreas was sick before he himself died. I didn't know what to think as everything was so confused (and still is for that matter).

I may adopt another cat soon. Missy is lonely since Silver, the brother of Andreas died. He was such a fine cat!

Here they are all three in bed, Missy, Silver on the blanket and Andreas at the foot of the bed.

Speaking of sleep, I'm going back to bed now.

8. My Jazzie Just Passed ...

...over the Rainbow Bridge.. I am still sorely missing her.
I got her as a kitten, and was "baby sitting" her while my son and his wife located a home. But I oddly told them she was mine, I just could not give her up. She was a free soul, but she adored me, watching me and sending me hearts with meows. She had this endearing way of wrapping her tail around my leg. Her tail had a peculiar little kink at the end of her tail, that she inherited from her mother. But Jazzie HAD to go outside and patrol her areas, and patrolled it up to the night before she died, so thin she would never have had a chance if a coyote, owl, or other animals in the area had wanted her for their lunch.

I am also a long time a follower of Edgar Cayce, and have found him fascinating My studies about him has helped me in so many ways. As a Christian I struggled with a memory I had as a kid where we visited a mansion and I "knew" I was black and I was familiar of the area. I knew furniture was "misplaced", missing buildings, and as a small child who had no idea about reincarnation and I did not know what it meant. I grew up to be an empath, but I never knew what to do with it as my culture denies there is any such thing. Not so empathic now, but at least I understand things because of Edgar Cayce about who I am.

Lastly my name is Cat, I am a Leo. I have had cats with me all of my life. My kitties are all with me wherever I am. They are not at all like Jazzie, but they have their own personalities, and I know they chose me.

Thank you for posting this. The surprise I am seeing here is that for once, those of us who are "woo-woo" do not get the "scientific" disgust with us. As a long time DU member, since the late '90s where early in their existence, they created forums for us where we could be let alone and with each other, no trolls tolerated there.

Love, Cat in Seattle
