So we got a new baby today!

Honey is a 2-3 year-old rescue from Texas. She's about 40 pounds or so, sweet, calm, and curious. She's acclimating well, and is cool with the cats. She's a rich honey-colored mix of hound and shepherd we think, and we're really happy to have her join the family. The cats are a little more reserved, but then they're cats.

7. I keep meaning to figure out how to post pix...

... but I've been busier than a cat trying to hide poop on a marble floor. Our house is nearly 200 years old and requires a LOT of TLC to keep it from falling down around our ears, and I'm 2 years and short change shy of 80 so I ain't the Energizer Bunny I once was. Keeps me outa the bingo parlors, though.

8. That's quite okl, I'm 2 years and shy of 70 so I understand. That sounds like a fine historic cottage, hang in there...

... I wanna post pix of my paintings as well as our beasties. I used to post my video rants and political cartoons under the auspices of World News Trust, but that was more than 10 years ago. I'll let you know when I get it figured out!

11. It is a little tricky, I'm not too good at step by step instructions though, I'll try to get you started anyway...

Hope this is helpful and doesn't add to the confusion...

Move your cursor to the text input area, down below title..
Click on the link icon, the little chain thingy..
Copy and paste your pic url (its title)..
You have to delete the little vertical line at the end of the title..
You then have to select [link: from the front of the title and delete that..
I always look at "preview" to see if it looks right..

I'll give this a try tomorrow. As for a URL, I have a friend who might help me with that. I've been wanting to set up a new website for my artwork, so maybe I'll start there. I can run the apps I use for work, but some of the more arcane stuff eludes me. Comes with being an old buzzard, I guess.

Thanks again. I'll et you know what kind of progress I make.

14. If you use a computer

and keep your photos there, the hardest part is getting a URL. If you use a phone it's probably easier - I don't, but I inherited a blog that has a media library and I can always throw something there that I want to post here. There's a website called "Post It" that anyone can upload to and get a URL, but the image only stays so long before turning blue and after that no one can see it.

If you have a Disqus account, you can drag and drop pictures into a comment on any site that uses it, and Disqus makes a URL for it which you can copy. But I'm sure you don't want personal stuff posted just anywhere, and I don't know whether the URL stays live if you delete the Disqus comment - or don't finish posting it. And there are probably other ways.
