It's been an extremely fun project, though somewhat limited by teh kittehs. Suggestions are most welcome.

For years, I had lush shamrocks and lush African violets, BOTH WITH NO BLOOMS, on my kitchen counter by the window. This year I stacked some little plastic shelves up the wall beside the window and placed the plants up where they would get sun more hours of the day. Now both my shamrock and violet are blooming. So my advice is to play around with the sun exposure to learn what makes your plants happy. Anyway, what a nice new hobby for you!
