I was right about this year's garlic harvest. It's one of the best ones, yet

Far more HUGE heads than I've ever found. I've picked less but have more that are an ideal size so I'm less concerned with picking the smaller ones.

I'll do one more pass through what's left to see if I've missed anything substantial but I've got plenty to see me through.

The summer squash is also doing really well and there are lots of tomatoes and sweet peppers, and all are looking really healthy.

Tonight and tomorrow we are in the path of what's left of tropical storm Beryl. Fingers crossed we don't get TOO much wind/rain. I remember one year when I lose everything after the wind store up my veg garden. It does look like we're on the edge so that gives me hope.

I have 4 tomato plants that I am quite attached to.

I have been babying them for months.

They are loaded with tomatoes and blooms.

I bring them inside during bad weather, but I don't think I will be able to do that for much longer.

2. When I lived in Houston I would stake around my plants and attach cardboard to it to help provide a wind block.

Sometimes it helped and sometimes it didn’t.

3. Good for you. My garlic was little. I don't think the soil was right, too dense.

Other crops are doing ok. Hope you survive the wind. Stay well.
