Anyone have experience with Owens Corning roofing shingles?

Bad storm last week ripped a lot of shingles off my old roof, so it's time for a new one.

Found a great contractor with all 5-star reviews & an Angie's Lost Award, but they only sell Owens Corning shingles, which look somewhat problematic from what I've found online.

Anyone have experience with this or advice? I hate this. 😓

Warranty on materials. The installer is who you need to worry about.

We have owens corning on our house.

From BBB Complaints I've read.

There was a huge class action lawsuit for materials defects, but the consumers lost, after 11 years.

Our Amish fabricated the metal themselves.

Good luck. A new roof really is pretty.

Because of my elevation and direct SW-NW exposure, I had them use 4 nails per shingle.
