Frugal eating that doesn't taste cheap

Let's start easy, Mac and ground beef
Brown the ground beef,, do not drain!!
Pour in dry pasta, add one can of diced tomatoes,, juice and all, cover , turn off heat and walk away. 15 mins later
Perfect al'dente pasta, the tomato juice ,hydrated the pasta and a yummy meal. Some sharp cheddar on top is tasty as well, I just like cheese

And balsamic is one of my favorites. Inexpensive and nice in the hot summer weather.

… of raspberry-walnut vinaigrette. My #2 choice is something with ginger.

And now, dinner is looking a lot more like a giant salad.

You buy dry pasta , a buck a box , and you have to, boil water( time and money spent)
I've always, when I buy a box of any pasta, open the box immediately and dump it into a bowl of cold water in my fridge, because, as long as it's there, 3 quarters of the prep is done,, it's hydrated now. All I have to do, is heat it. Which, takes about 2 mins, in a pan with whatever I'm cooking.
Or, you can pay 3 bucks for 8oz, of " fresh" pasta
