Cold vegetable soup. Combined pumpkin and chicken broth for the base, but added Better than Bouillon, vegetable. Then the veggies! Carrot, leeks, turnip, scallion, all sauteed in butter. Turned out really good but since I made it at 2 a.m. in the morning, I didn't have much, so this will make a good dinner for a busy day.
I plan on adding lots of herbs from the garden for tonight: marjoram, basil, rosemary, probably. It was too dark to walk out to the herb garden when I made this. When I stop at one of my gardens this afternoon, I plan on cutting some broccoli leaves to saute and add. Or maybe Swiss chard.
Miniature cornbread loaves, toasted in the air fryer. A little olive oil butter to go with them.
Kombucha: kiwi-pineapple flavor.
Dessert: Lemon madeleines and tea. Blueberres, too.

(1,484 posts)Tried a new recipe for bean burgers and they were pretty good. Used great northern beans as the base. Served on multigrain rolls with lettuce, tomato and corn and black bean salsa. Also made a vinegar based cole slaw and steamed fresh ears of corn as sides. Cheers! 🥂
