A day in the kitchen

I ran out of leftovers yesterday Today I put together a mushroom souffle. I saved 6 mushrooms from the pack and stuffed them. Later, I'm going to fix shrimp in garlic butter and have it with angel hair pasta.

That ought to keep me out of the kitchen till Saturday.

What's cooking at your house?

Great Northern beans, sliced mushrooms (whichever kind you like or have) chicken or veggie stock, - all in the pot with sautéed garlic and onion. Add lots of cumin and smoked paprika. I add black pepper and thyme also. Everything to taste. I started adding ground turkey and chopped kale couple years back. Cook the turkey first. Also I add some sage to enhance the turkey. Heat it all up to boil for a moment then turn down to simmer in the pot for half and hour. Seems to be even better reheated a couple days later on left-over day.

I might try making a soup like that. I didn't think of mushrooms and beans together. Thanks for the idea
