It's Sat-Sat-Saturday - Time for some Hot Sauce!

Chris Schlesinger's Famous 1980s Inner Beauty Hot Sauce

Ingredients
2 cups Scotch Bonnet peppers * (no stem)
1 ripe mango
⅔ cup inexpensive yellow mustard (French's is much too good use cheapest!)
⅓ cup orange juice
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground curry
1 teaspoon ground pepper
2 teaspoons salt

Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

From the original product: WARNING: Hottest sauce in North America.
Use this to enhance dull and boring food. Keep away from pets,
open flames, unsupervised children, and bad advice. This is not a toy.
This is serious. Stand up straight, sit right, and stop mumbling.

*Important: don’t touch the peppers with your bare hands!!!

Background and interview:

My Favorite of all his books: "Big Flavors of the Hot Sun"

If you want a good commercial version of this Hot Sauce try:

"Baron's West Indian Hot Sauce" has everything else,(but you'll need to add Mango!)
It's from ST. LUCIA (Part of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles)

Enjoy!

I'm putting mangoes in everything even though it's a bad year for mangoes here.
