Nice photo! Food photography is quite specialized (other than those endless phone photos) to do well.

I only photograph dishes that I have prepared. Quickly!

Paint away. My Dad was an artist, but painted only when I was very young, and later, after my bro and I left home. So, I don't know if he worked from photos.

My fishing club made a trip to Redondo Beach for mackerel.

Surprise, composition is a big deal.

Sample from the web.

a full fish with head still attached was served at a restaurant. It was said that eating the fish's eye would open up your third eye.

Personally I decided I'd rather just stick to the energy work and training we were doing but one woman said she'd try it.

Never did hear that she'd had any great opening so didn't feel bad for being such a chicken and being stuck in my familiar eating biases.

... this isn't food, it's a poke in the ribs. I eat barbacoa (cows head for the novice), that are allegedly cooked with the eyes. Haven't seen one in a taco yet, but boy is barbacoa good stuff. I do eat organ meats because if we kill them to eat, we had better eat as much of them as possible.
