Steam-fried in evoo and veggie broth: chopped onions and red bell pepper, sliced carrot and mushrooms, broccoli florets and minced garlic. When done I added cooked black beans, chickpeas and brown rice. I then stirred in a dollop of Miyoko’s butter, Penzy’s Sunny Paris herbs and fresh chopped parsley. Topped with vegan parmesan. Cheers! 🥂

with a little lemon butter. The frozen whole lemon experiment is successful; I should have enough lemon zest and juice to last me till the 2026 harvest. Assuming I can afford them by that time.

I'm having Guinness for dessert. If DH finds the banana-coffee-chocolate muffins I made for breakfast tomorrow, he'll have one of those.

soaked the chicken livers in buttermilk earlier today, now Mr. Retrograde is frying them in the southern style, whatever that is. Found some frost-blemished artichokes at the store today so that's a side, along with some fresh sourdough.
