Brussels sprouts, cut thin on the mandoline. Toasted hazelnuts, garlic chives, all sauteed in butter.
Miso glazed salmon and shrimp.
My friend gave me this giant tomato. Beefsteak. It's the best tomato I've gotten all summer. I intend to chop it and have it with basil, balsamic dressing, and feta cheese.
Kombucha: cherry.
Dessert: cantalope, but prob'ly won't make it this far. Too much food!

(40,067 posts)I've cut some, though, and even without any gold or red blush to them, they are turning red. But still.....I went pratcially the whole summer without tomatoes. Not happy about this.

(36,994 posts)But she planted them a lot later than I did. Granted .. It was sort of a weird growing season for tomatoes. The excessive heat we had for about 2 weeks made a lot of mine rot. ☹️
