Appetizer is bruschetta made with arugula and goat cheese. Has a tiny bit of pickled lemon on it.

Miso glazed salmon on a cedar plank.

Chopped tomatoes with ciliegine, basil, and olive oil.

Pomegranate kombucha.

Melon for dessert, with lemon juice and chopped mint. Cold Earl Grey.

We’re anchored off Croton Point, just north of the Hudson River’s Tappan Zee Bridge, (locals will understand why I won’t use that other name). It’s a beautiful afternoon but feels like it’s going to get a bit chilly.

The First Mate felt like comfort food so while I did some minor repairs, she got to making dough, chopping vegetables and last night’s leftover chicken. We’ll have a salad with Romaine, a beefsteak tomato, red onion rings and black olives with blue cheese dressing. Dessert will be Bosc pears marinated in spiced brandy.

The sunset and moonrise should be exceptional! I know our dinner will be.

Your daily photos of southern Maryland inspire us to return to the Chesapeake!

Have a good evening.

Am experimenting with a dried mushroom spaetzle that I picked up at Aldi. 🤷🏻‍♂️
