Where did I learn it and when?

Another McDonald's veteran here, like our ticket.

About this time!

Given that string cut potatoes will have greater surface to volume ratio than even the 1.5 to 2 inch chunks, water is probably good enough, but the baking soda is worth a try.

I loved their small burger.

I learned a trick when ordering my small burger, I’d ask for extra pickles. They would have to make a fresh burger since the precooked and sitting under the heat lamps couldn’t be reopened so, extra pickles and a nice freshly made burger!

I haven’t had one in ages since giving up beef. However, I did buy a fish burger a few years back and it was overpriced and icky!

Did it take a bit longer than it should have? That was to discourage them at the time. A woman ordered a pattie less the buns for her dog. It became a special since she wouldn't throw away the buns.

Not much more to say. We made the fries from real potatoes. Skinned them in a tumbler and cut them on the spot. I gather that they are all pre-cut and frozen any more.

Bin time obviously varied. Best to wait for a new batch of fish filets to hit the wrappers.

Can't remember the last time I was there. Maybe for an egg Mac Muffin. Those were invented by a franchisee, FWIW.
