I've been making Asian type recipes all day long. I've only had one, though, and that was an Asian style salad I made with quinoa, red cabbage, edamame, carrots, and cucumber. Dressing with soy, sesame, ginger, etc. and topped off with wonton strips and toasted whole almonds.
Next up will be some Chinese dumplings with hoisin sauce, topped with chives and lemongrass.
Then I'll be doing orange-glazed tofu triangles and serving over sliced Napa cabbage that I'll toss with a little sesame oil, ginger, and soy.
Dessert is cantaloupe.

I borrowed my stepson's underused Blackstone pizza oven. Tonight is my maiden voyage. I have tomatoes and basil fresh from the garden. Wish me luck.
Best regards,
Sorghum Crow

(34,968 posts)We bought two racks of lamb ribs from Allen Bros. (stupidly expensive but top-of-the -line) and one of them is marinating in olive oil, thyme, rosemary, black pepper, lots of garlic and some mint leaves. Ill cover the Frenched bones with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning. Although Ive cooked racks in the oven, this will be my first time grilling one and Im a bit apprehensive. Still, Im pretty good at the grill!
Basmati rice with some peas, saffron and cardamom pods will give an Indian flavor to the meal and Ive made a green salad from the garden: lettuce, cherry tomatoes and from the crisper some red onion and black olive slices with a ginger dressing.
Kingfisher lager and lemon ice water.

(20,638 posts)I am at my friend's house, leaving tomorrow. I bought some fresh wild caught Alaskan cod at Aldi, sauteed it. There were still some wraps, so I put some fish, chopped vegs, sweet red pepper and Cattlemen's Gold into one. Rice on the side.
I've never had a fish taco before, and didn't have a recipe. It was a good meal.

(11,101 posts)That's the last of the big piece of salmon we bought last week. Most of it went for gravlax, which got devoured at the party we took them to (luckily, I saved some for us at home)
