I bought a new blender so I could make green smoothies to improve my health. After a few days of smoothie breakfasts, I now believe that blending frozen spinach, frozen mixed fruit, fresh banana, and almond milk is a way to ruin the taste of your fruits and your vegetables at the same time. 🤮 So now I'm thinking a small mango Lassi (frozen mango, Greek yogurt, a dash of milk, minimal or no sweetener) and a serving of microwaved spinach (with minimal butter) might achieve the same health benefits. 🤔 Anyway, I am sticking with fresh coffee with 1/2 &1/2 at breakfast time because that is what gets me out of bed. 🌞

I have always suspected that about green smoothies!

I like to grow broccoli rabe and stir fry it.

Stir fry enoki mushrooms and broccoli rabe on a naan bread; melted Muenster over the top.

Decaf coffee.

Al had medical tests at the hospital VERY early. He wasn't allowed to eat before we left, and I didn't have time to.

We tried a place we've never been to, and I will recommend it to my friends and family.

While my eggs and home fries were unremarkable (nothing to complain about, but not stellar either) the biscuits w/ sausage gravy were absolutely dynomite. Server was pleasant, everything delivered to the table in a timely manner.

I ordered a "half portion," but I'm pretty sure there was enough food on just my plate to feed the two of us.

A while back he had a head cold that then settled in his chest. A chest x-ray worried the doctor enough to do an EKG, which was "abnormal."

So today he had a nuclear stress test and next month he'll have an echocardiogram.

I guess there's a bit of a silver lining... if there is something wrong, we're finding out about it before he has a heart attack.

good thoughts, vibes and prayers are appreciated
