Fried cabbage, onions, and sausages (cooked in my slow cooker). Fennel seeds. I make my own sauce for the sausages, which is Dijon, mayo, and the fennel seeds mixed in.
If you've never done sausages in the slow cooker, you have to try it! They are so tender and delicious. I cooked mine in vegetable broth and half a sliced onion.
For dessert, the RG sent me a box of Italian chocolates, specifically Venchi (soft dark gianduja with whole hazelnuts).

(23,626 posts)It's just warm enough outside to grill so I'm cooking Italian sausages, both hot and sweet, as well as some red & green peppers and onions. When they're done, I'll toast a couple of Portuguese rolls coated with olive oil and serve the meat and vegetables on the bread. As condiments we have several mustards, hot sauces and other goodies.
Chianti. Dark chocolate for dessert.

(5,538 posts)Tacos (hard and soft shell) with all the fixings, along with cilantro rice and refried beans and a "cowboy caviar" salad.
That reminds me... if anyone can get a Chili Mix (chili spice) made by "Mama Soccoros" leave me a note! I'm desperate, and it's all dried up in this little town. Just one more of those things you find you can't live without... and then they leave you without it! ARGH!
