Our holiday dinner will celebrate with one vegetarian and another gluten intolerant person.
Well have a lovely roast for the meat eaters and a Choppino for the rest, and big build your own salad.
But dessert! I am at a loss. I dont want to buy special flours or special milk - but Id love to have something special.
Oh great DU books and bakers - any suggestions?

(732 posts)Cream, gelatin (I use a gelatin substitute for my vegetarian guests), vanilla, sugar. Reduce frozen raspberries with sugar and OJ. Very elegant yet simple. Google Lynn Rosetta Kasper Panna Cotta for recipe. See added link

(854 posts)You can find gluten free cake and brownie mixes in grocery stores now. I usually choose a brand well known for regular baking mixes, like Betty Crocker, because those brands don't want to lose their reputation with an awful tasting product. Sometimes you can find the gf Namaste brand of spice cake mix and that is nice for the holidays. I made a crustless pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, featuring no crust and a mountain of whipped cream. Good luck!
