What's for Dinner, Mon., Dec. 4, 2023

Appetizer: stir fried shishito peppers over naan bread with melted mozzarella.

Baby spinach salad with olive oil/lemon vinaigrette.

Stuffed salmon and calimari.

Dessert: apple galette with no-sugar added ice cream. Dark Chinese tea.

A local market had it on sale for 9.99 a lb. Probably have some kind of pasta side dish with it.

I have perfected homemade corn tortillas! Been eating them non-stop with all sorts of toppings. Tonight is chopped, spicy pork with diced apple. Refried beans with more tortillas for dipping.

A friend is coming over and bringing snacks so dessert is a mystery/surprise.

Al is having the leftover meatballs, and I'm eating the leftover curry.

ice cream for dessert



Dad had Swedish meatballs in gravy w/ mashed potatoes, steamed carrots &broccoli. And a cider donut for dessert.

based on a dish I had at Greens in San Francisco years ago: squash, beans, and corn cooked together. This time I added roasted and re-hydrated anchos - next time I'll run them through a food mill to remove the waxy cuticles.
