Breakfast Monday 4 December 2023

Much later this morning I'll have the Irish cut oatmeal with pecans, apple pieces and maple syrup with coffee. I do like making them in the crockpot.

INGREDIENTS
▢1 cup steel cut oats,
▢2 medium apples, peeled & diced (about 2 ½ cups)
▢2 cups apple juice
▢2 cups milk
▢¼ to ½ cup maple syrup
▢2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
▢1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
▢¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
▢¼ teaspoon salt

In the crockpot on low.

do you use a crockpot liner? I would do this if I had one. I hate cleaning up the mess that oatmeal makes. Note to self: pick some up on grocery shopping trip tomorrow.

That looks like a stellar combination of ingredients. Would be nice to wake up to.

I use vinegar soaked paper towels for a while then dawn detergent with a scotch Brite pad if needed.

Pumpkin pie spice mix is also a nice add in spice.

Half a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted.
Our local shop makes them big, and oh so yummy!
