Posting early because I'm leaving for the airport to pick up the RG. We'll be dining with friends at our favorite Portuguese restaurants and not sure what time we'll be back.
I'm having fish francaise. That I have been looking forward to all week!

(23,617 posts)I havent had that cuisine in a long time. Time to rectify that.
Were also going out tonight with some friends. French for us.
I plan to order their steak tartare. Ground NY strip steak with parsley, capers, chopped shallots, Worcestershire sauce, fresh egg yolk and a half shot of brandy. Served with baguettes, cornichons, Dijon mustard and a salad.
Red wine.

Flash-fried eggplant cubes
dredge in cornstarch, then a quick fry in olive oil;
Chardonnay or Cabernet;
