Blackberry pie

Usually pick blackberries in the neighborhood... but for some reason this year, they were all tiny. So, had to buy 4 cartons for (gasp) $6 each.

Worth it to make my sweetie (and my own sweet tooth) happy.

Me, I use store bought crust and I would never attempt a lattice top like that beauty of yours. Thanks for sharing.

....or do you put all the ingredients in "raw" and let it thicken by itself during the baking process?

Or maybe toss the berries with sugar and thickener, dump in the shell and hope for the best?

There are advantages to both methods.
