What's for Dinner, Sun., Aug. 27, 2023

Stuffed squash. I'm using ground sausage, oregano, cayenne, onion, green pepper, chopped tomatoes, celery, and sausage; topping with Cheddar cheese. I just picked the squash from the garden yesterday.

Ginger kombucha (a new batch, turned out even better than the last one!)

Dessert: Iced coffee and a chocolate vanilla ice cream bar.

The local market had a fresh delivery of pork yesterday and the butcher put out a remarkable array of great looking meat. I chose the tenderloin and it's marinating in a spicy barbecue sauce. I'll grill it later.

Macaroni and cheese and a mixed salad.

Dolce de lethe ice cream.

rather unusual. I made a couple of modifications: canned sockeye salmon instead of chicken, and toasted pecans instead of almonds. I also steam-blanched lacinato kale - raw kale seems a little too bitter and chewy to me, especially curly kale.
