What is "crack"? Why are so many recipes using the term in their title?

I get daily recipes in my email and about every other day it's "Crack Potatoes", or "Slow-Cooker Crack Chicken" or "Fruit Crack". I read them and can't see what the 'crack' is.

I think people started putting it in their recipe titles so they'd get a lot of clicks. It's annoying.
