The hospital scale said I was at 342 pounds on July 10 when I had VSG surgery.
This morning Mr. Scale said I weighed 242 pounds!

(7,629 posts)having fought that fight on a continuing basis. I know how hard it was and how proud you are.. Once lost 113 lbs. in 9 months. After I retired I kinda let that slip away. From election till about March was particularly harmful. I can't take it off like I used to but have lost about 45 lbs. since middle of March. Keep up the good work.

(10,465 posts)My neighbor had it done last January and her goal was 100 in a year. I think she reached it because I hardly recognize her, she looks so svelte.

(18,470 posts)I'm six pounds away from that target and it's only been 6.75 months.
I'm hoping to hit that target fairly soon.
He thinks that under 200 is definitely doable.

(17,258 posts)your weight loss is your continued job now
I had BPD/DS in March of 2005. (Bilio-pancreatic diversion with a duodenal switch). I weighed in on March 15 @ 305 lbs. (female)
Today on the scale I'm 132 lbs.
I've maintained that all these years. One year after surgery I weighed 141 lbs.
It's not been an easy road. But it is worth it.
If you have any questions feel free to send me a message.
Wishing you good health
