Mental Health Support
Related: About this forumI've suffered a low grade depression for many years.
Started to take Creatine to regain my old age muscle loss and found Im less depressed.
So I looked it up and found there is good evidence that Creatine has that effect.
Pretty cheap and mostly safe. You may want to ask your doctor and look up side effects before you try it. Its also not for vegans.

No press about it I think because there not much profit for drug companies. Cheap and no need for a script, along with a long record of safety.

(7,870 posts)Which is why the drug companies hate it and will fight it until their dying breath. They will spread misinformation, they will cut off anyone who dares to take it because of 'interaction issues' (namely, they don't want you to be helped without paying them for the privilege of getting it), and they will do their best to have them all declared dangerous and removed.
That is our healthcare today. I feel better, don't you?

(16,436 posts)I'm finding creatine monohydrate (sometimes buffered), magnesium creatine chelate, creatine citrate, creatine nitrate, creatine ethyl ester, and creatine hydrochloride online.
On edit:
A very quick search seems to indicate that creatine monohydrate is the one most tested and/or recommended for treatment of depression.
