Are all civilian doctors so nice?

I walked in to my first appointment with my new, civilian PCM (transitioning out of Army care) and the doctor was incredibly nice. She smiled when she greeted me, introduced herself by her FIRST name (!!!!!), listened to the questions I asked (how to get a colonoscopy, who does refills, PCM only or family doc) and answered them thoroughly and patiently. She spent a full fifteen minutes with me instead of the five to ten minutes I usually get with military PCMs, and I just felt so welcome!

Are most civilian PCMs that nice or did I just get incredibly lucky?

For those who have used Army care and civilian care, did you notice a big change too between the two?

and it made me laugh a little. You sound like my husband. After 22 years in the Navy, he has avoided going to the doctor for anything. He finally broke down because he is having some symptoms and lupus runs in his family, so he went to my primary care. He came home and was in shock, he said he actually saw a doctor at his appointment time and the doctor not only TALKED to him but LISTENED.
