Any experience with Sloan Kettering?

My wife is having a workup there today for recurrent thyroid cancer.

Any suggestions, observations, or advice ... all welcome.

Thanks

What I can tell you is that they Were on my list of top 3 hospitals that have my treatment at. I decided to go with Johns Hopkins because of location and family in Baltimore

Who survived for ten years with stage four lung cancer being treated at MSK. He thought they were wonderful, though he complained that their responsiveness declined after COVID. But I think medical care declined overall after COVID.

Anyway, they are in the vanguard.

(the other is MD Anderson at the University of Texas). If I were your wife (and had the resources), Memorial Sloan Kettering is where I'd want to go. Good luck.

As his wife was dying of breast cancer, he thought MSK was more interested in filling their clinical trials than in curing her. He said they pressed her to take new untested treatments which "might save her life" rather than go with more proven treatments. She died, and he remains bitter.

FWIW.

Colon resection and lung lobectomy to remove a lung metastasis. Prophylactic chemo following the surgeries. So far, so good.

Two thumbs up. I feel the need for more thumbs.

An aquaintance went there for multiple myeloma and is still in remission, about 10 years later.

Wishing the best to your wife today, and to you.
