My sister keeps telling me the mole on my 20- something nieces back is not benign. I said did they say cancer? I've had melanoma.
Has anyone ever heard skin cancer called not benign?

Maybe that's what she/they mean.
There are other more common types of skin cancers besides melanoma that are far less serious and easily curable, squamous cell cancer is just one example.

My niece is saying its not benign. My sister is irritated she doesn't push for more info. She's in nursing school. Unbelievable.
