Cancer Support
Related: About this forumJohn passed away on Thursday
He slept away, no pain or suffering. Our daughters are here with their love and support. John's brother and sister-in-law drove from out west and our nephew and his wife are coming from the coast. Our friends, relatives and neighbors are being so kind. They have been through John's illness. We'll have a celebration of his life Monday. We are looking at all of our pictures, laughing, crying, remembering. We had John for almost 47 years. No amount of time is enough.

You're right. No amount of time is enough to be with those we love.

(20,629 posts)His cousin has his last chemo session tomorrow and is in remission. I am so happy for him. A friend of one of our exchange students just started chemo this week. It isn't easy.

(20,629 posts)I found a bereavement support group on DU. I thought I'd stay away from cancer support for awhile, just because it didn't go the way we wanted. But to share a little good news, John's cousin's husband finished his chemo and the dr. says the cancer is gone from his lungs. We are all happy for him
Thanks for posting. Hope you are doing well.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
