"Manglehorn." What was that all about?

With Holly Hunter and Al Pacino, I thought it was going to be worth watching. What a weird movie. And what the heck was it about?

Maybe on Rotten Tomatoes that he was somehow responsible for his girlfriends death. And he was tortured by it.
