I decided to watch because the actor is in the FX channel series, Taboo, which was riveting.

I wish I could say more about why I liked it so much but that would result in spoilers.

But we can say that Hardy is a great actor. He is in Peaky Blinders too if you haven’t seen it.

I don't know why I've been avoiding it. Maybe because there's so much else to watch. Maybe now is a good time to catch up on stories I've missed.

wanted the look somewhat of a sea captain, hence the scruffy beard and thick sweater, as the effect was of him basically piloting a sinking ship.

The movie became an instant classic to me.
