Mirage (1965)

Twenty years after "Spellbound", Gregory Peck starred in another movie in which his character has amnesia. I have this one on DVD. I think it's pretty good. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirage_(1965_film)

I think the action takes place in one day or so. Mr. Peck's character wears the same suit. I think that, in reality, a number of identifcal suits were worn by Mr. Peck.

Mr. Peck does indeed have a serious voice, even when greeting Mr. Turtle.

The watermelon is comedic, shocking, or both.

He and Lester are the scary bad guys. You gotta have bad guys in this kind of movie.
