I currently have Dish TV. There are less than 10 channels that actually have programing

worth watching the other 200 or so are nothing but telemarketer and religious shysters. What streaming services
do you recommend replacing the Dish garbage. I do use Netflix which gets worse every time they raise the price.

I have always found Apple+ to have interesting new content, including Ted Lasso and Severance. Hulu is also interesting. LauraInLA Tuesday #6

Lots of movies, music, and interesting videos. If I had full say in our house, that would likely be the only service I have.

channels, many of which have live tv channels and on-demand. I supplement that with a premium channel or two, usually bought on a promotion for a few months for a very low price. I also use the "livestream" site and the PBS app for live news. I cycle through the premium channels, cancelling one and picking up another so I can limit my cost to under $20 per month for premium plus the cost of internet.

- once the streaming networks collude together and create offers that exclude those who are not actually switching from another network's regularly priced service, you - and others like you playing the game - will be out of luck. Or they'll do some other BS like the old cable service providers by only having one service provided to any particular community. So be prepared.

at least for me, means subscribing to more than a few streaming services because of the "exclusives" to each service. It's maddening. I end up signing in for a service and then binging it, cancelling it, and moving on to another in the same way. There are a few that I'd really like to try but they have so much I'm interested in that my process wouldn't work with them. Would go beyond the "free for x" deal. Meanwhile, I'm heading thru Netflix and picking up things I'd blown past earlier and trying them out. Found a few programs I really liked that way.

We've had other streaming services but we just don't watch television that much so we dropped them..

We don't have cable, satellite or broadcast television. We quit all of that in 2012.

I won't watch any television that's got commercials so the "free" streaming services have nothing for me.
