a fun old teevee show on prime- elementary.

sherlock holmes in the 21st century, in nyc. it was on cbs for 7 seasons. never heard of it.
after he’s convinced that the ‘woman on red’ has been murdered, he falls into heroin addiction. he f’s up his relationship w scotland yard. his father intervenes, gets him into rehab, and hires sober companion joan watson to keep him straight.
old characters have new twists. an occasional reference to the og stories, but not that much.

if u r a sherlock fan, or a detective story fan, check it out. might b elsewhere besides bezo’s hellscape.

this guy gave jeremy brett quite the run for his money. such a quirky sense of humor.

the thing i like about old tv show is the whole 24 ep thing. 6-10 ep series just go by so fast.

Elementary is a very good production IMO. Inspired casting all around: Watson, Mycroft, Moreland Holmes, Col. Moran and Moriarty. Loved the Brownstown and NYC locales. Big fan.
