Wind River (2017)

Cory Lambert is a wildlife officer who finds the body of a teenager on an American Indian reservation in snowy Wyoming. Teaming up with an FBI agent, the duo soon find that their lives are in danger while trying to solve the mystery of her death.

This movie helps raise awareness of native women’s plight, fictional though it may be. Killers of the Flower Moon went much further, but Wind River helped set the stage.

It is a big stain on the dominant culture that keeps getting swept under the fog of white supremacy and oil industry's rampant impunity in the region.

Stark but true story that repeats itself regularly in this country.
