4. I watched Echo

It was good. Not like other Marvel series. (No obvious superheroes), which was fine with me. The beginning is very intriguing.

Part of it was frustrating because the main character is a deaf/mute, and much of the dialogue is in sign language - which I don't understand. You could follow along well enough, but I really wanted to know exactly what she was saying.

It also gave me a perspective of how frustrating it must be for deaf people, who can't understand what other people are saying, so I stuck with it.

Overall it was a good story. Good acting.

3. Boy Swallows Universe (Netflix)

This is an Australian limited series.

Great actor for 'the boy'. It starts out kind of violent, but it is not filled with violence. And the opening scene (which is pretty violent), they come around to it again later, and you (at least I did) felt differently about it. I'm on ep. 5 of 7 episodes. I stopped watching last night because I didn't want to miss any and I was getting sleepy.

9. Fool Me Once--Netflix

Excellent British murder mystery. Limited series, 8 episodes. I finished episode 7
last night. Very complex, twists left and right, great acting.

A lovely recreation of a classic 30’s horror movie.

13. I'm watching Little Caesar from 1931 on Tubi (Free)

Classic gangster movie that gave birth to the Edward G Robinson caricature.


After I finish this one, I'll watch Klute.

14. We just finished The Brothers Sun on Netflix

Wild covoluted story of two sons of a Chinese crime lord. One is a bad assed fighter in Tiawan (where the father is) and the other is an aspiring improv comic/medical student in the US with the mother.

The fabulous Michelle Yuan is the mom
