Netflix: Great British Castles
This is a series on six British Castles that have been around for hundreds of years. The narrator gives you all the history. I found it quite interesting and informative.

(9,232 posts)We've watched British Castles and most of the seasons of Escape to the Country. Had we been able to see this series in our 20's right out of school I think we would both have tried our best to immigrate to England. I love the restored homes and villages and pubs - so different than our towns here in America dominated by big box stores and signs everywhere.
I also prefer most movies and series that have British actors or produced by the BBC.

(16,428 posts)The houses and scenery and gardens! I could live like that in a heartbeat. I agree with you that if I were much younger I would love to live in an English country village. Have you seen Penelope Keith's series on great English small villages? I love that also.
