We tried 3 series on Netflix. Inside Man, The Watcher, and Emily in Paris.
Inside Man was quite a surprise - really great.
We are part way through The Watcher - fun - quite creepy.
Emily in Paris - we got through 15 minutes and decided it is a show not for my wife and I - vapid cliches, a clueless lead, and awful music.

(37,822 posts)The oldest boy 19 inherits his grandmother's land in the mountains. The story follows the boy's journey
to escape the crime ridden streets of the city for a new life on their own land. I thought it was very good.
I will check out the movies you recommended also, thanks.

(61,138 posts)We're pretty fussy about pop stuff and "let's have all kinds of stereotypes" in the cast. I think it's our age - our 41 year old daughter knew we'd dislike it ( she did too!).
Different tastes for different folks, that's all.

(13,317 posts)Inside Man -- Okay but didn't make a lot of sense.
The Watcher -- Made even less sense. It was frustrating that the characters didn't do the obvious things to solve the mystery,
Emily in Paris -- I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller about how attractive people suffer in an attractive city, including the main character, who has an endless closet, works for an evil organization (marketing firm), and doesn't seem to ever need money.

(4,108 posts)almost an Ami in Italy spin, but much better, deeper, richer, and the music is varied and wonderful. It is actually based on the true story.
