TMZ presents Prince. His death is different from what I believed.

First he was still addicted to opiates but he also had very bad pain and they go into detail about how he hurt his body so much from performing.
The problem when they had to land the plane for him and the night he died is, he got the VIDCODIN off the internet and they all had "FENTANYL" in them.
He was one of the first Fentanyl tragedies.
I am kind of shocked at this. I know buying any drug off the internet or the street is very dangerous. But I guess my point is that he didn't even start acting like a drug addict until he got them off the internet.
They said he did use Vicodin that was prescribed in someone else's name so he was abusing it. I can understand how that can happen since I have chronic pain too. I have to write it down every time I take a pill so I can keep tract of them. Otherwise I probably would be taking too much myself.
He had always hated drugs and smoking and was a health nut for much of his life.

(20,891 posts)All the jumping up and down in high healed boots had done a number on his body. While hip replacements don't usually require blood transfusions, I'm not sure any decent surgeon would agree to operate if the patient didn't sign off on receiving blood. Jehovah's Witnesses absolutely will not accept blood or any blood components.
Tom Petty also died of multiple drug toxicity, including oxicodone and fentanyl. He was dealing with arthritic knees and a hip fracture. I hate that they both died because they were in pain.
