I just rediscovered "The Naked City" on Tubi
I vaguely remember the show from when I was a wee lad. But I'm really enjoying watching them. They're very well written, acted, and give you a fascinating glimpse into late 1950's New York City. I'm hooked!

(6,875 posts)There was a film noire movie of the same name made in 1948. It had a pretty lightweight plot, and lots of scenes from New York, with real people doing real things.
I was fascinated with the scenes of NY from that time. Living conditions seemed really basic, but everyone seemed pretty happy.
