Housing prices have gone nuts.
Thought we might move, after a month of looking we gave up and are staying put. Been looking at South East Michigan. Up here in the mid-state area prices havent gone up like down there.
Seems like a bubble to me. Like 2008.

(38,034 posts)We saw a house listed for $110,000 that looked great. Next day the listing said $120,000. We had called to look at it and the realtor said they had 48 offers the fist few days and excepted one for $148,000.

It is now worth $750k, with no improvements, additions or whatever being added. Our stepdaughter and husband are buying it for $400k, with a "life estate" given back to us.
