I, IMHO, think that most people in the IT fields (and all related disciplines surrounding the IT field), already are well aware of job possibilities, and other such things via their normal interconnectivity among their peers, etc. It's kind of a peers helping peers, hey yes, I do have a buddy looking for a job in DB mgmt too, etc.

(5,695 posts)I almost got hoodwinked into one of these. I even notified the Agency involved about the scam, and reported it to police. Soured me so much on ANY of the headhunters, I pulled away completely and now try mightily to survive on just the SS we get. Seems the older I get, the more cynical and untrusting I become. Life didn't used to be like this. Now, it seems like everyone is out to make a profit whether or not its illegal, unethical, or mean. I'm left wondering what the hell I'm still doing alive. I don't fit this society; I obviously don't have anything left to contribute for its betterment. I'm just hoping the couple of generations under me can sort this crap out.

(17,750 posts)One thing there is not a shortage of is tech workers with current skills looking for work.
What there is a shortage of is highly skilled slave labor.
That is what they want.
