DENVER — Roughly 320 union Lockheed Martin Space employees at the company’s Jefferson County campus ended their strike and returned to Monday after a weekend vote approved wage increases in a new contract.

Just over half — 56% — of 900-ish employees in the Denver area and Orlando, Florida, accepted Lockheed Martin’s latest offer after about a month of being on strike. The contract bumped the starting wage 25% for the company’s unionized workers in maintenance, production and transportation, increasing it from $15 to $20 per hour.

“This was a hard fight,” said UAW Region 4 Director Brandon Campbell. “Lockheed was determined to hold onto every cent of the $24 billion it made during the last three years. But UAW members stood up to win our fair share of the profits that we generate. That raises the standard for workers everywhere.”
