PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Ever since May 15, several workers from Butler Hospital have stood on the picket line to protest wages and work conditions at the hospital.

Even with their healthcare benefits and wages freezing as the strike continues, workers have been standing outside the facility on Blackstone Boulevard for nine straight days.

Several employees have even gone to the State House to state their case.

Care New England, the parent company of Butler Hospital, maintains that they are trying to negotiate in good faith with the workers, represented by SEIU 1199.
