I am a bit of a fanatic about clearing as much snow off of my car as I can before I ever leave the driveway. I'll clear it off, even if I'm NOT going anywhere. And if I'm driving by someone with lots of snow on their vehicle, I do my best to get away from them, just to avoid something even less damaging as that video shows.

In the south, it was common for some people to just not clear off their cars when we had frozen precipitation. The windshield thing happens all the time. (Usually not quite that bad, though.) So, I move up here, thinking that people who are used to having such weather would be more cognizant of the situation. Silly me. After dodging several attempts to destroy my vehicle, I learned.

For just this reason.
