Somehow a Mesa, Arizona woman got a vibrator stuck in her bladder.I moved and out of nowhere I just felt a really sharp pain, she said. The vibrator was nowhere to be found. Where is it? And he like didnt know, she said, about the moment she and her boyfriend knew something was wrong.
The emergency room staff wasnt able to find it in the vagina, said OBGYN Dr. Greg Marchand. The emergency room staff called in Dr. Marchand to take a look, and he was shocked by what he found on the x-ray and inside her body.
I was really surprised when Im looking in the abdomen and realizing this device is actually in the bladder, Dr. Marchand said. Ive never seen a case like this in my entire career. They realized the device had actually entered her body through her urethra and went into her bladder, lodging itself sideways. They had to surgically remove it.

...in the Emergency Department of the hospital that was part of my university. One morning, I could tell something was up. One of the surgical residents was trying to write up an injury chart while attempting to keep a straight face and word things carefully.
A man in his fifties had sneaked into his sisters apartment the middle of the night and given himself a fairly serious injury attempting to pleasure himself with her vacuum cleaner. It was a Sears model that, I kid you not, had the peculiar name of the Beater Bar Power Mate.
The female urethra is very small, both in length and circumference. It would hurt like hell to insert anything in it.

(1 post)actually if you measure the device it is about the diameter of a 36 french catheter, really alot skinnier than anything else on the market (outside of urethral sounding) so it actually is plausible.

(26,702 posts)-cath many years ago for a temporary condition. Its certainly not something I would chose as a leisure/pleasurable activity.

(18,186 posts)A 36F catheter is freaking huge. She would have had to have dilated the urethra previously. It wouldn't just "slip" up the urethra
